Shot and edited by Jon Cheetham immediately after London police stopped protesters from occupying the London Stock Exchange.
Thousands of Londoners have gathered in solidarity as part of the global occupy movement and safely set up camp on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral.
This peaceful protest is one of almost one thousand occupations currently happening around the world.
Back in Sydney, after 8 days of occupying Martin Place, right outside the Australian Reserve Bank, we are looking for a safe (from the NSW police) place to continue our peaceful occupation against inequalities and to stage our democratic right to protest and personal civil liberties. Feel free to contact The NSW Council for Civil Liberties and ask for their assistance with Occupy Sydney.
Plans are being made for a rally at either Town Hall or Martin Place on Saturday, November 5th (Guy Fawkes Night) yet a space to occupy, is highly sought after.
If you can offer a safe space to occupy, please contact – occupysydneyoutreach@gmail.com

Remember remember the fifth of November, the gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot…
The Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral has threatened to quit if the Cathedral moves to evict protesters!!! How about St Mary’s Cathedral for the next Occupy Sydney camp? See if we get similar support?
Occupy London have produced an interesting newspaper.

I do so hope we can get a decent new location for Occupy Sydney. Being a Londoner, and knowing full well from experience how ghastly and brutal the London Met Police can be, and having had no experience of the Sydney Police until recently, i was fully expecting Occupy London to be violently cleared out way before Occupy Sydney.
