Friday March 16th is International Occupy Monsanto day!
In the spirit of the day Occupy Sydney will be starting a little non GM, all natural garden at Martin Place free from the evils of Monsanto seeds and other GM products.
Join us at 4pm this Friday at Martin Place, and bring a little potted plant or two, paper cups with soil, seeds, signs, and other things to make your point that we don’t want Monsanto to own our food!

In the weeks leading up to the Sydney occupation and for a couple of months thereafter, a number of us were mocked and labeled ‘conspiracy theorists’ because we tried to address the urgency of the Monsanto situation. Some of the most committed occupiers became exhausted by the bureaucratic dribble within and the consequent off-focus on the ground.
Needless to say it’s encouraging to see some ‘official’ focus in Sydney on what the Occupy movement is actually about.
Looking forward to getting back to Martin Place once a few family / medical things are sorted.
Love x
Monsanto et ilk get away with their evils due to one driving force – single-mindedness. And unless we’re just as single-minded about creating and nurturing the awareness needed to turn GM foods on its ugly head, we will lose our food. There will be no greater loss.
