What are general assemblies?
General Assemblies are gathering of the people and are open to everyone. They provide a forum for discussion, as well as the allowing the people to democratically reach resolutions for action. Proposals are put the assembly in order to determine an agenda for discussion and vote. Each agenda item is then open for public comment and discussion. Following these discussions, a vote will be made on agenda items and motions. Votes that achieve consensus will be carried as a resolution of the assembly. These resolutions can then be implemented by relevant working groups and individuals.
